Herb-Infused Summer Beverages using Sage, Lavender & Linden!
Infusing Drinks with Herbs
Spruce up your summer afternoon with these refreshing herb-infused beverages! Budtender/Herblist Tania formulated these light and cool summer drinks. Check out the video on youtube using the link below to learn more about the benefits of each herb straight from her!
Lavender Lemonade
1/2 cup Lavender
2 cups of Water
1/2 Lemon
Sweetener of choice (we used stevia)
Linden
Lime-ade
1 1/2 cup Linden
2 cups of Water
1/2 Lime
Sweetener of choice (we used stevia)
Sage Iced Black Tea
5 leaves Fresh Sage (1 TBSP dry sage)
2 cups of Water
1/2 Lemon
Sweetener of choice (we used stevia)
YOU'LL NEED

Mason Jar
-
A Cup
-
Fine Mesh Strainer or Cheese Cloth
-
Juicer
Honey cuts the bitterness of the black tea the best, but stevia can also be an excellent all-natural sweetener!
PREPARATION
Temper the glasses you will be brewing your herbs in if needed.
Boil half of your water.
INFUSING THE WATER
Place herbs in the bottom of your tempered mason jar, or heat safe container. (include the black tea with the sage at this point).
Cover in boiling water and cover to retain essential oils.
Wait 5 minutes.
STRAIN YOUR BEVERAGE
⋆ Using a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the herbs out of your jar and into a glass half-filled with water. This prevents the hot water from breaking the new glass.
ADD YOUR CITRUS
⋆ Juice your lemon or lime and add to your beverage
SWEETEN, ICE, AND SERVE.
