This Herb Class comes straight from our in-house Herbalist! Take a walk through Portland with her and learn about the local plants!
Portland, OR offers a wide variety of edible, medicinal, landscape and poison plants that don’t stop at the forest’s edge! Streets lined with beautiful trees, alleyways bursting with gigantic “weeds” and front yards dressed with culinary herbs make this city a perfect place for a plant lover to explore. Once you get to know these plants, you will see the city’s greenery as potential food, tea and medicine wherever you go.
Join local Herbalists Tania Hays and Carly Thomasset this Autumn in this misty rain-forest of a city for an urban plant walk.
We will review basic botany terms, identification tools and the how, when and why of urban foraging. Then we will roam around a lovely Boise/ Mississippi neighborhood.
